Lazy Words
So after a long absence from the ranting business I have decided that there is something that bothers me enough to put down in words. That something is the ever increasing use of shortened froms of words.
Examples: whatev instead of whatever, I heard breakie instead of breakfast, prob instead of problem.
It is laziness and horrible language precision. If you are trying to appeal to teenagers (also refered to as "tweens") then you are probably safe. If you want to appeal to adults then get strait. Get the whole word out of your mouth instead of a lame fragment.
It's been so long I've forgotten how to wrap it up so...

last day ever
I dressed up today like I was going on a date. I wore my date shirt and my date pants and I looked good. People noticed. An Asian girl talked to me. That has never happened in 6 years of school. I played video games, went to the gym, made a cake...all my favorite things. I finished the day with a bunch of tv watching. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it was a great day. The weather was perfect. Someone bought me ice cream. I even got my belly rubbed for a second which was nice.
I don't know how tomorrow is going to be better than today. something amazing is going to have to happen to top the great feeling at the end of today.
I am still keeping my eyes open for a bag of money some careless drug dealer might leave lying around.
Well see!

10000 days!
Also, I've been thinking about exciting things to do to celebrate the day. The three things that have been on the top of my "adventures to go on" list are bungee jump from a hot air balloon, cage dive with man-eating sharks, and watch fireworks from a boat. If you have any other suggestions I'm ready to hear them. I have a year to figure it out and save up the money. That reminds me; money would also be a very acceptable gift for my 10000th day.

Watch Where I'm Going
I looked around to see if anyone saw it. I wanted to share that moment with a stranger. The only one who seemed to notice was this old lady. By the way she looked at me, I don't think anyone has ever thought I was a retarded person more than she did.
This woman clearly had no sense me humor. I think the real victim is her husband.

Good Smaritans
The word has gotten out about the free lot so it fills up, add to that the fact that my first class isn't until noon and you can figure that it's pretty impossible to get into the free lot. I got there today and the one spot left was in 4 inches of snow. I was in a hurry so I risked it. The snow was melting, it was a hot day and I was feeling lucky, so i went for it. Well, I was on campus for awhile tonight and didn't get to my car until after it had been dark for awhile. It was then cold and things were no longer melting. It was the opposite (freezing).
To get to the point, my car was stuck. I was ready to do what I had to do to get it out by myself, but this girl walking by noticed that I wasn't having any luck with the "rock it" technique. So put her bag down and asked me if I needed any help. She was a small girl, but I appreciated the heart behind her request. So we put the car into neutral and the two of us were attempting, once again, the "rock it out" technique. We had begun to have some success when a guy shows up and helps out some more. Perfect.
Our next idea was to put the girl in the car to work the pedals while us strong men worked the front end with our backs and legs. I don't think she'd worked too many stuck cars because she started gunning the wheels. Anyone who has been stuck lots and lots of times like I have knows you have to creep it out.
How do you tell someone who is doing a good deed for you that they don't know what they are doing and they are screwing up your tires? You don't tell them. You don't because that is rude. Don't be rude.
The other guy knew what she was doing and we came up with a plan to have her turn the wheel and we said "and just use a little gas this time." This time it worked. I shook their hands and was on my way.
Thinking back I should have offered them a ride, but I'm clearly not as thoughtful as those two were.

clothes line
In all my 25 years I've never seen anything like this. The drier took all my clothes and somehow braided them together. It was probably 6 or 7 feet long. Even my clothes do awesome things.

new awesome blog
I considered this. All of my tools can fit into one handbag that I take to my job assembling display things for the garden center at Hone Depot. That doesn't seem like a true "artisan" to me. This concerned me so I got back to my considering. The first thing I realized is I would have more tools were it not for my self-enduced vow of college-related poverty. If I had money I would be exactly like my dad and have a workshop filled to overflowing with tools. I'd spend hundreds on every new project had I hundreds to spend on such glorious things. The second thing I realized is I do have tools. Lots and lots of tools. I've been collecting them for years.
"But you said..."
I know what I said. Think outside the box. Ny tools aren't kept in a toolbox. I keep them in the kitchen. Our kitchen is stuffed with my special kitchen tools.
This is who I am. I'm a dude who uses tools to cook.
So, in acceptance of who I am, I've begun a new blog. It will be a list of all the recipes I have tried and enjoy. I've tried many gross, weird, or "interesting" recipes. I will not include those for obvoius reasons. No point holding on to those gems.
So, for those who like fine food and my writing, tune in and see what's cooking (cheesy ending).

ah girls
One of the most wonderful things that girls do is they smell good. Many of them even smell great. Fantastic even.
As i sort of wandered slowly to the astronomy class in which I am now sitting I fell in step behind a girl. What she looked like is irrelevant to the story. I found myself in the wake of her perfume. It was Gap Dream, one of my favorites and I'm not going to explain why I know perfumes by name.
just before the scent encounter I had been with my group for a class. At risk of sounding like a jerk, they are all idiots. Lazy stupid people.. I was very sad and annoyed by the poor grade I am bound to get because of these dults when I caught the wiff. My attitude went bipolar and I was flung into one of the best moods I've been in in awhile.
Thank you Mystery Girl. Your decision to smell awesome saved my life for a day.
Thank you all girls who make the same decision. The world is better because of you.
My favorite perfume is Abercrombie & Fitch 8.
I really don't care for vanilla musk.

A Big Whoops
Bitter? yeah, I'm a little bitter. But only at myself.
The up side, I have 6 more months to find a job and become an adult, I get to spend another 6 months in Logan and I really like Logan, and I'll got one more chance to actually DO something for Spring Break. I've always been broke when it's rolled around.
So, everyone, plan for a spring graduation.

Another Brandy Glass Adventure
Do you remember the giant plastic brandy glass we found at DI? If you forgot or don't know or just need a reminder, look at the post before this.
I was dared by a friend to sneak it into a movie theater. What she didn't know at the time is that my roommate works at the movie theater and gets us in for free. When you get into a movie for free you also get popcorn for free. However, in order to get free popcorn (or beverage) you have to bring your own bowls. This is perfect since we now own several popcorn bowls that hold more popcorn than the extra large bowls they sell you. And, in the case of last night, i just happened to have a perfect brandy-glass-sized bowl.
Dare: Accomplished
I wish I had a picture, but we got there late. Taking a picture would have been rude. I could have taken one after but the glass was empty and a picture wouldn't have proved much. Next time.
